  77. Random Access Memory (RAM) is the working memory of the Macintosh SE.  The RAM is provided in two or four packages known as Single In-line Memory Modules (SIMMs).  A SIMM consists of a small printed circuit board that contains eight Dynamic RAM 
  78. (DRAM) chips.  Two SIMMs combined in one row provide the 16-bit wide memory required by the MC68000*.
